Durham, NC Occupational Therapy for Low Vision Due to Diabetic Retinopathy

Hello!

I am Hendall Loeffler, a ceramicist, printmaker, Occupational Therapist, and Certified Low Vision Therapist based in Durham, NC.

Low vision refers to a loss of vision that cannot be fully corrected through traditional methods such as glasses or surgery. It can be related to various conditions including age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and many other conditions.

As a Low Vision/Occupational Therapist, I assist individuals with low vision in improving their ability to complete daily tasks and maintain independence.

While I have reduced my production of ceramics and printmaking for the time being, I hope to eventually merge my artistic passions with my low-vision therapy practice.

I believe that art can serve as a potent therapeutic tool and am interested in incorporating creativity and self-expression into my rehabilitation work. In addition to the physical challenges that low vision can present, it can also have significant emotional and social impacts.

I strive to provide a supportive and compassionate environment for my clients, and I believe that incorporating artistic expression can be an integral part of the healing process.

I am constantly learning and growing in both my therapy and art practices, and I am excited to see where my career path takes me. If you would like to stay updated on my artistic and professional endeavors, please follow me on Instagram at www.instagram.com/hendallloeffler.

Or the email list is pretty good as well.
